Chocolatey Goodness

So I was craving chocolate like a madwoman today and I thought, why not make a batch of brownies to ease my craving.
Oh, but these aren't just any brownies. They are THE best brownies I have ever tasted. They are rich, moist, chocolatey and simply divine. I tried out the recipe after seeing it on a fellow food blog. It was love at first bite.

Million Dollar Brownies

Ingredients:
1/2 C (1 stick) butter, melted
1 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 C all-purpose flour
1/3 C HERSHEY'S Cocoa powder ( I used Nestle's cocoa powder)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C chopped nuts(optional)

Directions:
Notes: Use butter instead of oil when you grease the pan. It works much better.
Also, leave the butter out for a couple hours(so that it is at room temperature) before you melt it. I got better results by doing so.

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.
Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in nuts, if desired. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan, add walnuts on top.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares. About 16 brownies.

  1. For the cupcakes I'd suggest either using a cooking spray that already has flour in it. OR coating the pans lightly with softened butter and flour.

I can't wait to see them when you make them! :)
