Hummus bi Tahini

If you google hummus bi tahini, you'll most likely find well over 50 recipes, maybe even more. However, this recipe is by far the best recipe. See for yourself, or should I say, taste for yourself. It's a very easy to follow recipe and the finished product will be delicioso!

Hummus bi Tahini

Ingredients:
One 15oz. can of chickpeas
2 small garlic cloves
1 tablespoon tahini (sesame seed paste)
Juice of one lemon
1/8 teaspoon cumin
Olive oil, parsley, paprika, or cumin for serving

Directions:
Pour just a bit of water out of the can, leaving 3/4 of the can filled with water. Pour the chickpeas with the water into the blender. Blend together for 5 minutes or until well blended. Add lemon juice, cumin, and tahini. Blend until the mixture is slightly thick. Taste and adjust seasoning with lemon juice and salt.

To serve: Spread hummus in a shallow bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with spices if desired.

  1. I love hummus, it is my favorite food! I usually use 1/2 cup of tahini and I also pop the skin off my chickpeas - it makes the consistency so much better!
