Hello hello! It has been TOO long, guys. Too darn long. The last time we spoke, I was unpacking. Well, I'm done unpacking and I recently actually went on my honeymoon!...which means more packing and unpacking went down, but I'm basically a pro at that stuff now! As you probably guessed from the post title, I honeymooned in Puerto Rico! The hubs and I stayed in the beautiful Condado Vanderbilt Hotel which I HIGHLY, highly recommend! Our location was great because the street the hotel was on (Avenida Ashford) had a ton of restaurants and stores. Also, Old San Juan, which is also a prime area for restaurants, was a short taxi ride away. Yes, as a food blogger, I had to make sure I was going to have plenty of food options! Unfortunately, I didn't make sure my DSLR was always on me so some of these are less than stellar phone pictures! So, I'll try to make my descriptions as vivid as possible :P
I'm baaaaaack!! But don't let the extra letters and exclamation marks fool you, I really don't have that kind of energy in me at all right now. I am still so jet-lagged from my 8+ hour flight, and I have no motivation whatsoever to bake or cook anything, nor do I have much of an appetite. That said, I hope you all won't mind me sharing some photos of my vacation with you before I get back into the hang of things. Just as a disclaimer, all of the following photos are food-related. Because after all, I am a food blogger and it's in our blood to take pictures of everyting we eat. Plus, I definitely did more eating than sightseeing on this lovely trip. I guess my lack of appetite now is nature's way of implying I need to lose a few pounds. Well, message heard loud and clear :) Enjoy the pictures!
Bonjour! Je vous ai manqués tous les! Unfortunately, that's about all the French you're going to get out of me in this blog post. My French speaking skills don't go very far since I am an American raised Algerian. Wahhhh. I did pick up a few new phrases during my 6 week vacation to Algeria though, so hooray for me. I also picked up some photos of delicious Algerian sweets; most of which were made by my very own family, others bought or from weddings I attended. Think of it as my souvenir for you guys. I knew I couldn't come back empty handed, especially after being gone for so long. I promise I'll be back in business as soon as my jet lag wears off. Until then, enjoy the pictures :)
